Bee Happy began in Toodyay, Western Australia, with a hard-working family, a handful of hives, and a whole lot of love for bees. Over the years, we’ve slowly grown — learning from nature, from each other, and from the bees themselves. Through long summers and wildflower seasons, we’ve kept at it with patience, care, and sticky fingers.

With over six decades of beekeeping under his belt, Colin is the co-founder of Bee Happy Apiaries. He’s happiest out in the bush, following the blooms and caring for his bees the old-fashioned way.
Ruth
CO-FOUNDER
While the bees are busy outside, co-founder Ruth is the one keeping things buzzing inside. She handles the packing, the logistics, the orders — and about a thousand other things that keep Bee Happy humming along.

MARKETING
Tui keeps things organised behind the scenes, helping everything run smoother — just like our honey! Growing up around the business, she knows it inside out and brings a steady hand to the parts most people don’t see.
Dan
APIARIST
With his approachable style and easygoing nature, Dan brings a grounded energy to Bee Happy. He helps out across the business, stepping in wherever support is needed and keeping things on track as the seasons shift.

Calm and reliable, Ben plays a steady role in the day-to-day at Bee Happy. With a practical eye for the little things that help the business flow, he’s always ready to lend support where it’s needed most.

Viv lends his time and hands to wherever they’re needed — often out with the bees, sometimes behind the scenes. As part of the Bee Happy family, he brings steady support to the work we do.

If there’s a joke being cracked mid-harvest, chances are it’s Jasper. A longtime family friend and steady hand with the bees, he brings laughs, loyalty, and a whole lot of character to the Bee Happy crew.

A gentle shadow on the apiaries, Fennel is never far from the crew. Shy in new company but endlessly sweet, he keeps watch with kind eyes, offers quiet comfort, and makes Bee Happy feel like home.
